Investigating New Trade EU map might be busted

Haven't had a chance to go on myself, but two friends of mine who frequent trade more than I do have consistently said they'd been crashed out the game and unable to even see the new map once they pick a team.

Im not sure if thats a common problem, I just hope a heads up would sufficiently quell the problem to make sure Trade EU numbers don't dip any further than they already do.
 
Considering Trade EU was its regular self, I'm gonna have to take a stab in the dark and presume there was a major issue with the new map? If so, what? Quite curious what the issue was, more than anything, and especially in what I've missed out on
