I was working on a request when I needed a model that they did not have. I went into the tf2 folder and copied all of the material folders and pasted them into sfm and replaced some files. well I tried to open it and it tells me it cannot find the exe and then it tells me it cannot find the library files. well knowing I screwed up I went to the steam market place and was slapped in the face by the free button. well I clicked on it and it gave me the same message steam gave me I then ran to the sfm main page and clicked install but instead of doing that it gives me the same dam message steam and the market place gave me. can any one tell me where I can re install it steam seems to not have 2 brain cells to rub together to put a install button on it so I need your help.
 
Sfm right click then properties then verify or you can always restore your computer to a previous date
 
Just verify the files. go Source Film Maker, right click, then click properties. From there click on Local Files and then click Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Then wait for it to finish and try it again

alright ill try that but if that dose not work im going to try to set my computer back a day
 
also just to tell you the only way I can launch sfm is by going to the community store or the main page and launching it that way. don't know how or why but that's what I need to do

Thanks to the both of you. After waiting an hour reading the new game informer my computer finished up and source filmmaker loaded up like normal. I would love to repay you two by creating both of your favorite class in there own desk top background if you guys want and they will be posted on the form for all to see.

Agreed with sarcastic but sounds like you can make some metal doing this open up your own trade forum and put some samples
