I agree. Since both my friend and I had N64's, I'd take my own controller and run to his house (pretending the controller was a space ship) and play Perfect Dark for hours.

That is a myth. Regardless or not if you own a copy of the thing being emulated, unless YOU YOURSELF create an emulator/ROM from THE COPY YOU OWN, it is illegal to possess.

Now, I mean Nintendo won't hunt you down but I'm just stating a point.

OC the controller isnt as good as the 360 one, or there isnt as many games available as roms, but it isnt always about more or better, sometimes nostalgia is the reason to play.
As for fixing them, I have no idea.. best bet is to just buy them cheap again (depending on the titles) and if you got contact with the person you got them from, try and get a partial refund from them and use the money for alternatives.
