Declined MLP Compromise Suggestion

Suggestion: Remove MLP from recent threads.

Reasoning: I bear no animosity towards the bronies, but some here do. I feel that most of the time recent threads contributes to trolling of the MLP forum since everyone notices there's something new posted and click on it, then are taken to the MLP subsection. Even though it is a dying forum, I think that MLP fans should go to the forum directly if they expect news on MLP instead of catching the rare topic up in recent threads. They can also always subscribe to the forum as well.

I think this would solve some problems of people going to MLP subforums and trollin. In addition, brony haters can have the ponies out of sight and out of mind.

If someone actually wanted to trash that forum, they would do it even if it wasn't showing up in recent threads. However, someone was actually taking their time and doing such a thing, they must be an idiot or have something wrong with them. And surely a moderator could fix that issue if it went out of hand.

The thing is how will the people who like mlp know when someone posted a new thread? They shouldn't have to check it every 5 minutes. Their should be something where you can subscribe to the forum or subforum so it can show on the recent threads for yourself.

I don't have anything against bronies. What you like is what you like, not going to judge you for it.
But I'm getting really sick of checking recent threads and accidentally clicking on something linking to the mlp sub forum and seeing nothing but trolling going on.
If I wanted that, I'd go to unmod. (That god forsaken place...)

If you remove it from recent threads it'll cut down on the amount of people randomly going there to troll, due to them actually having to search out the section rather than accidentally clicking on it. Which makes it easier to moderate people who are trolling and or negative rate spamming. (Which I see a lot of)

You can subscribe to the section like I subscribed to bans, and reports. You'll get an alert every time something new gets posted, so it'll work just like recent threads, but less trolling.

All in all, doing this would benefit everyone. So plus Crimmy.

You can, it'll give you an alert if something new is posted in a section, or if something is posted in a specific thread. I did that with reports, and bans.
