Been playing daily on this 64man server for years:
2FORT+ | US 1 ctf_2fort 91.216.250.10:27015

The votemenu has given the option to Turn On/Off Crits on Cap for years.. today it is missing from the list of possible votes. Please fix/re-add that option.

Also, on the server reset at 3pm, that option defaults to OFF, so we always had to turn it back on after the 15min or so wait for voting. Please adjust the default setting to ON instead of OFF.

This is a very important feature, because when the sides get deadlocked/turtled, I (and others) can run bonk scouts to get past the walls of SGs to touch their intel, which makes a few people defend dfferently, and the deadlock usually clears. Thanks.

cant the same happen with kritz medics though?? also that's what !votescramble is for, is it not? (i am not trying to come off as an asshole, i am genuinely asking)

People will complain about anything. It's part of the gameplay and the 64-player server is much more social and doesn't always cap to begin with. I agree it should still be an option because like anything else you allow us, it can be governed by the people in the server at that time. It encourages actually playing the game to stop the critz and/or gain them for your team. It's a short term benefit and not long enough to worry about spawn camping when that happens anyway without crits.

Why couldn't the change be just for Turbine, like previously discussed?
Has anyone claimed that this was a similar problem in 2Fort?
 
It's 5 seconds. That's honestly kinda cringe to take a feature many of us like because someone can't handle 5 seconds.
 
They don't give the whole team crit. And they said it was still happening even with votescramble.
still a terrible decision to remove the option. it's like 5 seconds of kritz, and any skilled player(s) can shut down spawncamping because of the other spawn exit.

what about enemy engineers being able to nest in intel? what about sewer wars? that's camping too.

i dont see the logic in this removal just because some players with skill issues can't deal with spawncamping. even still, in all the times i went on this server, never was i on a team that was spawncamping/being spawncamped. this is extremely vague as to the "people" that complained. :/

plus, spawncamping can happen without crits on cap, which makes even LESS sense to remove the option...
 
What if it's the usual trope that has been raising as of late in servers where people ACTIVELY do not attempt to break spawncamps and instead minge about in spawns or say "team is shit so they don't deserve my help with this lmao"

Again. If a team can't defeat a spawn camp, they deserve it. (spawn camping is so easy to counter).

Weirdo is right, plain and simple. At the end of the day it is a GAME with an objective, no matter how many of the players piss about or don't actually play. People do and will play as intended while socializing and more often than not I see people work together when the right motivator is around to encourage it, or be vocal about it. If people are camping, work together to break it up or don't. If people are in an intel war or sewer war, same thing. Crits is a short term boost of motivation both in game play and socially because some people do use it to troll but it's never been detrimental to the health of the gameplay or community so I don't see why it was ever turned off. There are people who actively do worse than spawn camp for a minute or two with cap crits.

I'd agree Turbine was very similar in this sense (spawncamp), until it wasn't.

Anyway, now you can safely say that people disliked the change.
(maybe that's why you did it this way?)

Tbh they are right.
The noobs of ctf_turbine will get what they deserve.

It's kinda the same like it was with Payload.
I don't think it matters what tricks you try at this point.
Nor do I blame any of those who play in Turbine.
The decline was already there,
these are just symptoms of it.
