I'm actually kind of disappointed in Bill Nye, I feel like he beats around the bush a lot and is doing a lot of awkward jokes

He seems to be doing his best and he is doing kind of well, plenty of his arguments are kind of well known and already discussed, at least in my opinion, but don't forget that he's trying to appeal to people that are mostly believing in creationism/young earth. I personally prefer debates with apologists/church representants, but it's a bit different topic

I think for this style of debate, he is actually doing pretty well. As far as the awkward jokes, remember... this is a man who is basically fighting against yelling, "YOU ARE AN IDIOT".

Everyone knows how it feels to hold in a fart on a first date... I imagine that is the position most scientists are in when having a conversation like this.
