Maps won't download? *Help needed!*

Sufficiently Lethal Scout
Every time i try to go to a map i haven't been to yet, and it tries to download it it won't let me.
I always have to download all maps manually. Can anyone help me? Would be much appreciated.
  • I've put the multiplayer tab to allow all custom files
  • Game cache validated/verified
  • Country set to Canada, then to US and then back to Czech Republic (to see if there is any problem between country and server location)
  • I've the graps and soundcache folders
The places where it doesn't work (example): AF2, TF2OP, MCT...


I'm really without ideas what to do :/
 
check your advanced options
you might have your downloads set to not download any custom content
 
try to manually download the map and put it in the maps folder?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\pixelz558\team fortress 2\tf\maps is were you would find that folder just instead of my steam id it would be yours

It's the only way it works, but how can I download something I cannot find on the internet?
Some maps are just able to be downloaded automatically...

Depending on the map, it might be hard to find the file somewhere manually. Could be that the maps folder is unwritable.

idk would who have to do some digging and find the map but most custom maps are uploaded somewere its just a matter of looking if not ask one of your buds to extract the map from their maps folder and upload it so u can download it

Yeah, but doing that with every map? Yet when they have updates?
 
When i have an issue i usually verify files.if that dont work reinstall.

Not the fastest method but it always works
 
cl_downloadfilter all
cl_allowdownload 1
Put them in autoexec.cfg for best results
EDIT: If cl_downloadfilter all doesn't work, try cl_downloadfilter none. I'm not sure which one it is.
