This is an update for jail_snowballsv12_opst

This update fixes:
  • The medic room is now less O.P.
  • Fixed some mini-games teleporting players into the middle the map.
  • Added intro to sweeper.
  • The top right cell has a breakable area.
  • Added two bridges to make life a little bit easier.
  • Visualized a rebel teleporting area. (It used to be invisible so nobody knew where it was)
  • Optimized the map. (Mainly affects map compiling, but will reduce lag on older PCs.
  • Created a sniper tower by 9square, though shouldn't be O.P since it's a long walk from guard spawn.
  • Added a cell door toggle button.
  • Cells will open automatically at 7:30 and can not be closed again after.
  • Sweeper is now less complicated to use. (The blue button is gone, you just press the green button now and it all gets sorted)
  • Fixed the deafening "door opening" sounds for the spheres in obstacle course.
  • Leaks in the map are now filled.

Edit: Forgot to actually add the download, added it now.
Edit2: The first download didn't have the textures embedded, fixed it now so the download should be fine now.

Yeah this is mainly to fix game-side stuff. But I will work on some good lighting. People say the textures are ugly too, but unfortunately Valve doesn't provide many snowy textures. I will work on lighting soon as you say though because sometimes lighting alone can make the textures look better.

It may take a bit though,since don't think there are any lights at all on the map.
 
when i said legitimate lighting i also meant everything that goes in to lighting, including shaders/textures/lights etc
 
Yeah I can do that, but what I meant was lighting alone can enhance the look by itself.

Also I've embedded the textures now, so you won't have missing textures on some things. Should be good to go now.
 
Okay I've worked on that, here is how it looks now:

This will also fix the issue of:

Making every map in the map-cycle "full bright", because when a map has no lighting, it makes the next map have no lighting and the cycle continues.

I've also:
  • Removed a rebel spot which was O.P, had a full ammo kit.
  • Added an area for the "Assassins Creed" mini-game so you don't just teleport in the middle of the map.
  • Closed off "Boulder Dash" since it had a few problems.

Also @Bottiger make sure you restart the whole server to fix the lighting issue on all maps.

Some people are getting the "Missing Map" error, did you put it in the fastdl properly Bottiger? And is net_maxfilesize set properly?
 
I can download it just fine, but a lot of the map seems very dark. The mining (salt?) room, obby, plinko, they're all very dark. Any way that can be fixed?
 
Did you play the one the server or did you just test it on your own? Because I did give Bottiger a separate one to fix the darkness and "bright snow" issue.
