+0 net, tbh

-1 since when people type out ! commands it's basically free advertising of the features for people that don't know them (some people see a ! command typed out and immediately type them out themselves out of curiosity)

+1 since sometimes people murder chat when building their out loadouts with items commands for example lmao.

A toggle so people can't see others typing out ! commands would be the ideal solution and I'd instantly +1, but I'm not sure if it's possible

You're the first person to request this in 4 years I've played, doesn't seem worth the effort to make features like that if there's not clear need for it. But up to bottiger

At least on the surf server I've seen it be brought up before. More than one occasion people are building up their whole loadouts with it so the chat becomes filled with !item or !ll commands for it.
I think if I'd have to single out a single server plugin responsible for the most ! spam it has to be the item one. But yeah it hasn't been earthshattering complaints over it either tbf

and Gala, respectfully, just because it hasn't been brought up before, doesn't mean it was never a problem.

But that's why threads like this exist right? :D

The whole idea of "!" commands is that they show up in the chat, and that "/" commands don't. If "!" commands were hidden, nobody would see any commands, which would be quite annoying for people who are new to the server and perhaps want to learn about the server's commands.

So that is a downvote from me.

maybe a command to turn off seeing ! commands in chat? but that seems like more work and more confusion.

the whole point of the "!" commands is for all new players to learn about it, if someone who has been playing the servers long enough they will let those new players know that they can use the "/" commands instead

no point of making this change at all as it was never an issue to begin with.
