Without going into details, it's become apparent that if the majority of the server dislike someone using their microphone or typing into the server, sometimes it is still not enough to null the issue. You require 75% currently to silence someone, which is a super-majority rather than just a majority.

I propose it's dropped to at least 60%. This number is just above half of the server but also makes it difficult for "bullies" to all mute someone they simply don't like. 60% is a majority, rather than the current super-majority.

I agree. If it only takes 2/3 (66%) majority of Congress to impeach the sitting president of the US, then 75% is too high for micspam.

This is a great idea, people nowadays get away with stupid shit even though it's obvious the majority of people in the server want them muted - votebanned. Yet they can't b/c the percentage is so damn high... This is the ideal solution.

It used to be 60% and we would frequently get complaints about abuses. And then there's the automated TF2 bots going around votekicking people on official servers. Imagine if that spread to our servers after we lowered the mute percentage.
