Could the AP decay be set to a lower percentage per day, or set to drain less frequently?

I keep trying to think of some long, verbose argument in support of this, but can't accurately refute all the negative points I foresee.


Yeah, donators.
But, sometimes people are gone for a few days; 3 days -14%, 4 days -18%.
The second reward level at 2500 is -125 for the first day.
But, I don't have any friends to play with.
come on man, it'd be super sweet. seriously dude, come on.

The AP system is implemented to reward non-donors with several of the possibilities donors are offered.

Non-donors are rewarded these extras for their effort of keeping servers active, because in the end an empty server only drains money.

The system will not be changed. If you want to keep your benefits even after being offline (and not keeping the server running), we advise you to donate.
 
To expound on Astir's post,

The point of the system is that it's not supposed to be easy to maintain your points. We want people to be active and to play on our servers a lot, in exchange for that you get benefits generally reserved for donors. The more you play, the higher the tiers you have access to and the more difficult it is to maintain. Right now we feel like that the decay is at a balanced level, we don't want it to be too easy, but we feel like it's also not overly difficult for most people where it is.
 
You can easily get thousands of AP if you join a server before it fills up even if you don't have friends.
