They had to use some kind of sealer, i would guess? I use this stuff to make haunted house props. It's very versatile, but oil based paint runs off it a bit and when you sand it down. It still has some imperfections from air bubbles and it's not completely smooth.

Pretty impressive.

Yeah, I wouldn't know a water-based paint that could give this finish, and anything solvent based would eat away at expansion foam. The finish is remarkable.
