If it's only available on the first day, then probably not, then again, Valve considers Win8 to be "this giant sadness".
It will be widely available and tons of people will get this item. Everyone jumps on promos like this now and set up their alts to do the same.
The reason older promos are actually worth something is because it wasn't common practice for people to install games/buy shit in order to get potentially valuable TF2 items. Now it is, now it's a waste of time.

well i ran into another problem during the steam installation a cmd window comes up and ask for my password but it wont let me type after 4 tries it says press the return button to continue and i dont have that button :/

My post contained my original opinion. My current opinion after learning these facts. Anyway, There is one correct statement in my post that was not either entirely my opinion or an incorrect fact:
So I didn't know (And honestly didn't/don't care to know) that the mascot of Linux was a penguin. Nor did I care that Linux is free. The promo, whatever it ends up being, will be more common than the Portal 2 Soundtrack box. Perhaps more common than that.
