Okay, this is my first of making threads to wait for my appeal to be lifted
I play in this server for very specific server (Deathrun and Zombie Escape), And i'm an enthusiast on both gamemodes, i liked the craft and effort put on some maps, some i had really harsh opinion about, but i can't do shit about making map for now, so my opinion about map
I had very fond people i know in the server, well not very fond as we're just rando in the internet and i like it that way more than being hugboxy reliationship, some of them were nice blokes, some are neutral, some i absolutely despise and personally would fight in the parking lot, to put it simply, there are ways where we our interaction could flow or cross, but and the biggest one is probably on nominating map.
As you see, Nominating are very, very competitive scene, i mean it could've been deciding factor wether if the server's going to be populated, If a good map was nominated, we could achieved utopia where everything is fine and dandy, if a bad map is nominated, i'll leave a bitter taste in the server playerbase and could potentially kill a server because, that's why i make this post to begin with, because this is way bigger deal than many think of.
First of all, everything i've said is very subjective, But, i do held myself a higher ground, because i'm a good nominator, i analyze the playerbase, their skills based on the current run, granted, i could be very selfish and little bit of a troll, you can disagree with me and i'm fine, but there it is, that's who i am, why the hell i'm bringing this up?.
Well, remember when i had some blokes that i absolutely despise and personally would fight in the parking lot?, these guys, while not all of them, nominates, their decision could vary and sometimes we're on the same page, but when the storm comes, oh boy, i got really, really sweaty and offensive.
the reason for me playing in this server is to have fun, and by that fun is trying to gather everyone's experience and rate it with it, but that means i disagree with others that might like their nominees, and some maps, again, not to insult the creator or someone who likes it, IS NOT very good to play in everyone in my opinion, i had standards to be held, and i want to fought for it because that's just how human being interract.
If i lost on an argument and it leave a bitter taste in my mouth, fine, but what if i lose because everyone's just mindlessly, nominating, even an objetively bad map, and i can't do nothing with it because some people do it for the funny, nobody's give a damn, or the server tricks you by having false sense of security, it's really hard pill to swallow, but this sucks and i had nothing but to blame for those blokes, they're the ones who nominates, and it's fine if we butting head and have some sweat, but as you see, i end up on a mute.
Look, this wouldn't fix a problem, in fact it could've backfired, i personally had the strategy to outmanuver the system, but there should've been a change to make things better, right?, so please, discuss very polite and reasonably on the reply if you had solutions or such.
