Surely you can decide and rate yourself, without being swayed by someone elses opinion..

I need to know if it's a reliable person that I can count on to make good judgements on whether a post truly is creative/agreeable/likeable/informative/optimistic or not.

So if someone gets a "rating" does this mean the "alert" will not show who did the rating? Or is it just for the rating on the thread itself.

there would probably would have been much less crazy surrounding ratings if say.... you couldn't see who was rating you.

I'm just going to close this because:

1.) Alerts tell you who did it
2.) It shouldn't affect who rated you one way or the other

Maybe it will cut down on the "OH LOOK SOANDSO RATED MY POST DUMB. WHAT A DOUCHE."

This is similar to the reddit style. You can see upvotes and downvotes, but you would have to go and hunt the individual users that rated it up or down.
