So as soon as I joined this server, I recorded 2 separate demos of lagtrain (red team) blatantly micspamming and,

  • not playing to the objectives of the map
  • telling others to promote/bully Skial not once but twice for a rank that doesn't exist
  • Promoting false information regarding the Skial rules (see chatlog) He does admit to knowing about the "friendlying rule" so he contradicted his knowledge the Skial server rules.
  • then he tells players that if they don't appreciate his open mic play, rolls out instructions on how to mute and informs a player to abstain from playing on a Skial server.
As you'll see in the 2nd demo, another player named Bread was "audibly raging" incomphrensible sounds as a result of his attempts to drown out lagtrain and another player in the 2nd demo named the dj who too played music. Incidentally, although I wasn't on the 2 Fort+ | EU earlier in the day, I've included a brief snippet of the dj 's chatlog too.

Howdy! Lagtrain (the person in question) here.

Beforehand, sorry for any issues or inconveninces caused, my intention is to add to the "2fort Experience"; which is something that I'm pretty fond of.

My intentions with the whole radio/jukebox thing is not to disrupt players or to just make them decide to leave, but to encourage players to stay in the server for the community; not the gameplay. This can be seen through out all of the chatlogs, where I've asked stuff like "is the volume alright", just so that players can enjoy their music and stuff.

I've never micspammed anything like earrapes or just "trash", only music that other players can suggest to add to the queue system I have, so this is an player-controlled experience where everyone can enjoy their time with each other (think of it as listening to music on a Discord server with a Music bot!). At the end, I personally don't really think that what I was doing was "spam", as it was content that was added into a queue that the players had control with.

And not to add that whenever a vote to mute or kick me was issued, roughly 70-90% of all players voted to not vote me out, so from my point of view, players actually seemed to be fine with my presence and actually jumped into defending me whenever a votekick was issued or to just reply with "Just mute them with !ignore or through the Mute button" to everyone who tried to kick me.

Now, for the "ask skial to give me a rank that doesn't exist" thing, not sure if the sarcasm on that is too little or if you just didn't really seem to get the idea that its a joke. The whole idea of asking people into giving me some kind of useless rank for a dumb server on a 14-year old game just seems stupid yet hillarious.
Do I expect anything from it? No; Would I care if I got something like that? No.

Same would go to the "spreading false information about the rules" thing, while the rules aren't that clear about the 2nd section on the 6th rule on what is allowed and what isn't, I just decided to lay it as more of an ironic "fun fact that you shouldn't try out" thing. I am sorry if it seemed that I was going for a serious tone about that.

And to finish those blatantly stupid reasons, I don't really recall asking anyone to leave the server, as I actually decide to roll out instructions on how to mute me if the player is not comfortable with my presence. Other players have said that but at the end, all of these efforts and tries are just purely sarcastic and as dumb as it sounds; part of the 2fort experience.

I do admit breaking the micspam rule, although not in the common definition of it, and I'd like to issue an apology to all players who may have been unconfortable with me. I promise that I'll try to keep it as "non-listener" friendly if I, ofcourse, don't walk out with a ban or any penalty out of it.
