While playing on 5gorge i noticed that my ping was fairly high(200's), does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem

Your ping is what your ping is. There are a few little "fixes" such as http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13581-LeatrixLatencyFix.html - results are not guaranteed though.
Lowering bandwidth usage, such as not torrenting while playing games, ect.
