Keep getting lag spikes

Ever since I moved house I always have awful internet and awful lag. Im from the eu and get around 69 to 90 ping on any servers and not to mention to annoying as hell lag spikes. I have one of them sky internet boxes (I dont know the names of em) Any help?.

It could be the WiFi. I would try hardwired and see if that works. If you can only do WiFi, try to test it on another computer to make sure it isn't yours. You can always try resetting the modem/router too.

What do you mean by Resetting the modem/router Just replugging it or what because ive already tried to multiple times.

Could try getting another modem from sky. It looks like they have an all in one type box which usually aren't the greatest. So if you can wire and see if that fixes it then you know it's just the wifi is shitty.

Yeah its probably that because at my old house I had around 20 ish to 40 ping and now the moment I move I get 60+ but the problem is the modem is downstairs :( and my computer is upstairs.
