Hey everybody. I'm just curious if there is an item simulator out there somewhere. By that I mean a tf2 simulator that lets you pick a character, hats and miscs with various paints and see what they look like so that you don't end up buying them and painting them only to find out they don't look good together. It seems like it would be an easy enough thing to create. If you've heard of it or seen it anywhere please let me know, it'd be greatly appreciated. If there isn't one... we have some bright minds here on skial I'm sure someone could concoct something like this :)

You can do this in TF2 itself although its a lesser known feature.

open up tf2, open console;
Type "map_ [choose a map to load]"
Open console again
Type "itemtest"

You can then choose any combination of hats, miscs and weapons for any class
You can add them temporarily to bots and control bot actions with "item_botcontrols"

Awesome. I could've used this to see how my classymedic item set looked before spending like 15 dollars on it
