There seems to be no point to serverside muting, seeing as you can just clientside mute someone. It only hurts feelings. Even if everybody else mutes a certain person clientside, they won't know it. But serverside muting is better if you want to hurt the person, which isn't even necessary if they're just annoying you...

Its odd to me that is in the game. But it mutes chat (serverside muting) something the regular muter can't do, so its useful. And I don't think this is the right section for this. If you were stating that it should be removed, then this is the right section for it.
Serverside muting applies across all Skial servers. So if someone connects to a server, micspams, then moves on to another Skial server, the mute (assuming he/she was muted) will still apply, thus boner-barring said micspammer from avoiding a mute. Clientside muting is preferred if someone is a squeaker or targeting you, in order to avoid voteabusing with the excuse of "He called me _____" but votemute is to be applied if someone breaks a rule, or a report can be filed through either !report or by creating a report on this site manually.
