Since a lot of impostors lately have been using Skial rep pages to scam people, I thought it might be a good idea to put some sort of customizable "Impostor check" text in our rep pages. Just a little line of text (eye-catching, preferably; so something bold/red would be great) with some sort of steps to take for a potential victim to avoid a scam with. For instance, if I had the option to add some text in my profile that says something like BEFORE TRADING WITH ME, MAKE SURE MY STEAM ACCOUNT WAS CREATED ON MAY 3, 2006! or something similar. Or perhaps just pull the creation date (somehow) from Steam and have that added to the rep pages by default, in eye-catching text, so that people can easily see this and make sure it matches with the guy they're chatting with in Steam.
A lot of big-name traders will add some sort of text like this in their Steam profiles, however this is ineffective as the impersonators will always remove this impostor-check text when they create their phony accounts.
I think having this text on a separate site (separate site being Skial, of course) will make it so that the impostors can't use Skial rep pages to rip people off. While it won't stop them from scamming, it'll at least stop people from using Skial as an accessory to their scams.
And yes, I realize that you can use the "Status" part of your Skial profile, however it's limited to a small amount of characters, and only lasts as long as your next status update. I think a dedicated line of text specifically for this purpose would be more useful.
