now its asking me to give my existing password...

Your default password on the forums is your steam one IIRC

so apparently its not....

when i first logged in there was a link to send me a password for the forum cos i signed in with my steam id, however the email never came in and i think that is now default password and i have no idea what it is.
this is most lame.
any help is much appreciated.

Your default password on the forums is your steam one IIRC

It isn't, because Skial doesn't get your actual Steam login data. When you use Steam Login on any website, Steam basically just sends the site a unique identifier token which authorizes you to access the site.
