So i'm in need of a charger my old charger broke because it just stopped working randomly. I'm looking to get a new one and I want to find one that will work fine for a long time

depends on the amount of power your lap top needs look at the volts of the old one and buy one with the same volts and of course hole size
Just do a google search with your laptop model and charger at the end.
For example if you have a Dell Inspiron1525 search for "Dell Inspiron 1525 Charger". Should come up with what you need, just make sure it has the same AC / DC ratings as your current charger. And if you want it to last, I would try to get one from the manufacturer and not an OEM one.

I've actually had my laptop charger for awhile now, it works on a number of voltages, and has different heads that can be attached for different charging ports.
