How does stats works ??

I am curious to know how ratings are calculated in the "Rank" scoreboard.

It say it's by playtime...

But then I see AYO #1 having less playtime than me #13 ??

So it's the same calculation as for seasons ; not really by playtime, right ?

It's kinda sad to not really see who are the active players on trade server.
Theses stats are really easy to pump up without actually interracting with anyone on the server. I mean, it's not really important, I don't really care ; but it would be hearthwarming to see for real who are the player who actually make this community alive, rather than this useless list of ego-tripped users ...

Ayo does not play. I mean, I never saw him playing for real. He connect his character, type "+forward;+right;" in console and then afk the whole day. As he moves in circle, some young player may think he's active but then are sad when they understand they tried to interract with a soulless doll and realize they are, in fact, alone.

I saw people like ceasar salad who connect only to spend 1 hour spamming 100 scrap weapons trades on scrap.tf, to rank up, the day when season change ; and then we never actually see them again on the server...

wtf :D why would you promote behavior like this with a place on the leaderboard, lol.
Should I make a trade bot with another steam account spamming chat with trade notifications you can't mute ? :D :D

Why isn't donation rewarded with points on trade server.
Idk, for me, it would seems legit to reward people who actually play the game ; and keep the servers alive. Not necessarily people who kill and tryhard ; but people who interract with other players on the server.
 
Naturally you can cheese that with trading to yourself, however if someone is actually doing it I wouldn't be bothered much. Just shows how sad they are and where their priorities lie
 
I don't see why you think it's sad. I think I could make a bot to grind this without it taking much time. I bet there is everything on github to do that in less than a day. I could have this running in background while playing. It's actually funny to do this kind of things. For example, on another server there is a math plugin, and we fought to make the quickest script and get the creds.

Imagine seeing the chat spammed with trade notification :D :D
It would be fun. It's a trade server after all. I could buy some stout shako ; or generate shovels just for this. As I usually almost never trade, it would be funny to pretend to be a trader, while trading shovels :D.
I'm not sure you can mute trade notifications. I bet i could start and accept trades on vps ; and still get notifications on the server with no real local load... I still have to find a solution for accept incomming items on my client. Yet it seems very fun for me. I played Screeps ; Adventure Land the coding game ; Leek Wars. It is my kind of fun.

Doing that is not cheese, it's the rules who are cheesed. I don't care about people playing this game ; but I would love to see names of people who contribute to the server life. What is sad to me is not seeing people who come everyday, not seeing my online friends. I personally have a very good place on this leaderboard so i really don't care.

PS : Yes, I know there are seasonnal ranks, I talk about it in the 2nd sentence of orginial post ; but you was already not reading anymore 😂

My secret wish is I would LOVE to see a RPS leaderboard for trade servers !!!
( rps = rock paper cisor )

I know it's possible I saw one on another server. :P

It would be so fun !! And it would actually reward players for keeping the server alive.
