How do you equip two of the same misc?

So, right before I was about to cash out, I unboxed an unusual which made we kinda want to keep playing, at least through the summer. I bought my dream unusual ( green fetti phantom), but after i sold the unboxed unusual, I had enough and I decided to buy it again ( this time it was a purple fetti phantom).

Now I reach a dilemna. I know for a fact that there is a way to equip both at the same time - I've seen it done before. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

Here are the steps that i do for it
1.Unequip any current misc.
2.Turn off internet on your computer or turn off modem
3.Equip the 2 same misc.
4.Turn back on internet/modem
5.Ta-daa

it didnt work :( it wont even give me the option to equip my p fetti one at all - even if i dont have the green fetti one equipped. Any other ideas? Could they have patched it?

i saw that and went off of that. I think that only works for hat + misc combos that dont work. Either that or they patched it

They patched it. Notice how the video is made in 2011, and the Uploader Comments show that the uploader said that it was old. atbatmatt, also checked your bp and seems you don't have both Phantoms anymore D: What happened?

I still have both of them. I tried trading the green fetti one to my idling account, equipping the purple fetti one, then trading it back. It let me equip the purple fetti one, but the glitch still didnt work. All it really did was probably fuck up the item history and make it look really suspicious :P

Wait. Are you sure it works with two of the same miscs? Wonder how two Phantoms would look like.

I think it got patched because I had 2 merc scarf's equipped on my engi and when I went to check it there was only 1 and second misc slot was empty.
