Scarcely Lethal Noob
For skial servers, the ping in my server browser usually reads between 80-120, but sometime starting in the past month they've started listing in the 150-350+ range. This happened to Skial servers only. Strange thing is, I get in game and my ping is fine, in the 60's - 80's.

Happen to anyone else?
Anyone know why?

EDIT: What's REALLY strange is that the EU servers have some of the lowest listed pings.
EDIT2: Looked at Morbuzka's comment, viewing individual server info showed a more appropriate ping.

Well, that's the latency, and think of it like this. If you have multiple servers in favorites, it sorta recalls them into your browser 1 by 1, but, when one is finished, it still takes up a bit of internet while the next one is being recalled, so depending on which servers get recalled first, they could have a false high latency. However, when they are all done, no internet is being taken up anymore, so really, if Valve made it so it didn't take up bandwidth while loading server stats, it would show a more true latency, but honestly, the only one you should trust is the lowest one. It happens to me everyday

Every one on skial 2 fort LA have been complaining about very bad lag spikes and high pings. The lag is just so bad when you step out of the base your dead or left to ponder what just happened before a machine sniper recovers and kills you. there is also very bad lag in degroots and minecraft trade server.

Now, that, I haven't noticed, I really haven't noticed any lag, but there is the occasional lag spike of death, where the little auto-kick red notice at the top comes up for a bit, but then it fixes itself withing seconds, and doesn't come back for maybe another 30 minutes.

Actually, I just looked at my LA servers, and I have noticed that the latency there jumps from the usual 50-60-70 false high to like, 130-140 high. However, this could be related to the fact that I live in chicago, but whenever I play on LA servers, my ping is below 40

Ah, I viewed individual server infos and they did in fact show a more realistic ping. 'Appreciate the feedback.

I notice pings higher than they should be. I've had ping as low as 15ms but usually it's around 25ms - 30ms, sometimes jumping to 50ms.

Edit: Scoreboard ping while ingame, although I'm not sure how accurate that is.

whenever I first open my server browser all servers show really high, but after refresh they drop straight back down.. have you tried refreshing?
