Scarcely Lethal Noob
Hey, I was on a server, doin what i do, and was advertising my unusual for 22 keys (steaming tipplers tricorne) Some random guy from tf2tp said it was a shit hat and only worth 10 keys. He called quite a few of my items for half their price. Then he said he knew a mod from bp.tf and said that he rigs all the prices. Im assuming this guy is just full of shit but since im not entirely familiar with trading yet I thought i would ask. Thanks!

Judging from your Hat, both effects are not quite the best. 15-23 keys is the range from looking up what people were price checking it for.

It actually looks really cool with white paint and i honestly think the effect fits the hat when you actually see it :)

In the end it is about what you value your item(s) at and what kind of deal you can make with the other person. Don't let other people tell you what your item is worth, that's up to you. Just make sure you know what the 'fair' value is to others and you should be ok. As for people who 'shit' talk like the guy you met, just ignore them, their only goal is to trick you into thinking they are right. Most do it to get you to sell the item to them for way less than what it is worth. I make it a rule to know the prices of what I have so when I run into to people like that I can kick them to the curb and continue on with buying or selling of items. Good traders don't act like that guy did.

Lots of people trying to low-ball about items and convince you to sell them. Best tip would be to know the around price the item goes before you start selling it and try to stick to it.
