Not sure if this should be in "Competitive" or not, but Im wondering if my current medic loadout is okay.

Stock Syringe gun/crossbow (depends on map/attacking/defending ect.)
Stock Medi Gun
Ubersaw/Vitasaw (depends on attacking/defending/situational ect.)

And some tips on how to medic with said loadout? I'll be returning to tf2 shortly and it'd be nice to have some help beforehand.

Everything is good, but I would suggest replacing the syringe gun with the Overdose. Speed is always good when your pocket dies.

I'll try out the overdose.

Killington, I used to be a battle medic like you, but then I decided to actually help my team lolol.

if you're using the crossbow anyway and arent likley to be ubersawing people... and have a reliable person to pocket then the amputator is worth considering for the extra survivability

I don't understand how people can need help with medic. All you seriously do is stay alive, heal people who need it, and use ubers. If you keep doing it you'll get better and teach yourself over time.

Its good, the crossbow could be used to heal team members instantly if there is no time to do it with the medi gun. The stock medi gun seems like the best since the Kritz and Quick-Fix don't seem as useful when taking on large groups of enemies and sentry nests. I don't find the Ubersaw useful, since the medic would have to be in some close combat to use. I think the Vitasaw is good since one of the worst things to happen when getting a full charge is immediately and having to restarts, while the Vitasaw lets you keep a portion of it. Although the Amputator sounds good as well with that taunt, as it will heal a number of people at the same time.

Overdose/ Crossbow is completely fine
Manning the original medigun is most common and(usually) the most effective.
Ubersaw is fine, builds a quick charge. If you're using the crossbow, i'd go with what DeepIndigo said and use the amputator in conjunction since of the +1 hp regen to the medic's already 3 regen. The taunt for it also heals all nearby allies(not sure if cloaked spies get healed as well) and is good for times when you have a big group of injured players asking for healing

quickfix is good for that, too, but normal medigun>others.

its hard when you have shitty pockets all the time and people dont defend their medics

You get a demo, at the beginning of the round, use 2 stickies and go behind everyone while using the quick fix, spawn camp;

profit

I wonder if the Cursader's crossbow item set is viable at all. Also, why doesn't the Solemn Vow get any love?
