Basically BigShula got hacked around 8am Eastern Time December 26th 2012. She pm'd me and i sent the full transcript below. She filed a steam ticket which she will link and i will edit in as well as any other necessary information. I know we can do little about hackers but tagging them may hinder their abilities to add scamming to their list of crimes as well as perhaps give us a lead on their mains. Also it could help Shula get the peace of knowing they got caught and will not be able to do it again. Many thanks.

Yeah, most likely the hack was because of the one unusual in her bags. I'll see if I can get more info on other accounts.

She said it in PM, but she had a trojan. So even with steamguard, they probably had her email password too, so they got the code from steamguard and logged in.

A Keylogger hitched a ride with a special copy of sony vegas that was given to me and I found it with a few scans; All be it a little too late. Had to change all my passwords to everything in my PC and lock my Credit Card. On a seperate note he is my stuff that was traded away on Tf2 Outpost

I requested a ban on TF2OP for him. I think the system might not work if he's marked anyways, but I never use outpost so I'm not sure.

Although you don't know me because I'm not that active on this forum, I'm feeling terribly sorry for you. I hope you will get your stuff back. Hopefully other people can learn from this incident, as from now on I am going to scan everything pirated I download.

I know this'll sound odd. But even I don't know my own password.
It's like twenty eight or so randomly typed keys of just crap. Copy pasted onto a word file, copy pasted onto a flashdrive which I keep on me at all times. That's how all my passwords work. So even if you held me at gunpoint and demanded the password to my bank account. Iunno.

Seems weird, but it's worked for me for years. Can't keylog me because it's a copy paste, and glhf trying to hack the password for a single unsual.

do you keep it plugged in all the time or only have it in when you need it?

oh and It's great that Shula got all her stuff back

Only in when I need it. And the flashdrive itself is one of those self erasing flash drives. If you put the password in wrong. Which is the only password I really ever memorized. It completely erases everything on it.
