Off the top of my head, my two favorite games are infinity blade 2 and Plants vs Zombies.
Also, though it's oldish, Osmos is still an amazing game.
In terms of other stuff, the TED app (not related to the movie in any way) is a wonderful resource.
Also, get The Onion, it's a satirical newspaper.
It's genius.
