Give us the ability to lock our own (trade) threads?

Instead of us having to ask a mod to lock a thread, why not let us lock it ourself?

I can see someone like Mario starting a shitstorm, causing drama, then locking it when he thinks he's going to lose. Then making another.
Seems like a bad idea...

Then he could be banned for thread spamming, duh.

This is like the only forum I've seen where you can not lock your own threads
 
I go one further: give us the ability lock other people's threads as well!! : )
 
It's a great idea for the trading sections to prevent posting in threads already marked closed.

I've got reservations about other section threads though. I'd hate to have a precedent set that ruining a thread is okay because OP can close it whenever he feels like.

Anyone locking their threads for the purposes of drama are already digging their own graves for trying to start drama anyways.
Nothing bad can come of this. Implement now, Bott.
