Question to anyone using a drawing tablet

Do you do anything special to reduce wear on your pen nib?

I haven't been drawing all that much and my nibs seem to be be developing sharp sides rather quickly while others say they've been using the same nib for years on end while drawing a ton.

I modified my pressure sensitivty to see if it helps but it hasn't done much. I'm not sure if its because I'm left handed and hold my pen in the same way causing that one side to just get worn down quickly
