I've been looking into grabbing a gaming mouse mainly for fps games. Anybody have some recommendations? My budget is pretty much open so posting an $80 mouse wont bug me.

Logitech G500s, fresh and only a month old.

If it's anything like my old Logitech G5 mouse (also laser, hell it's pretty much the same mouse) then it's F'n solid! I had that thing for a good 6 years before the cables bent themselves to death. If it's anything like my current G400 here ($20 more and older, ouch!) then I just might buy this sucker today and I had no plans for a few years to buy a mouse lol.

Seriously though, the weight slot IMO is key for gaming with accuracy though some may disagree...

If you play tf2, this is all you need to play pyro.

laser mice are generally shit

get one of these:
- logitech g400
- razer deathadder
- zowie fk or ec1/ec2 evo (ambidextrous or right-handed)

they're all around $50

I have a razer taipan, as it was reccommended for fps. The reason for that is because it has 8200dpi. but really, you can just turn up the sensivity ingame. I´d say; get a razer deathadder.

I think I should also get a new mouse. I've been using this Logitech MX518 since 2005. It still works like new, but it would be nice to have something new with a higher resolution. Don't even ask how old my speakers are.
