I'm writing an assignment about the enviromental effects that nuclear power causes, like how does uranium mining affect the enviroment etc. I just have to rant about how boring this is. I've been sitting here for literally 4 hours and done absolutely nothing. It's so fucking boring. There's nothing redeeming about this assignment. I was hoping to get good grades in nature science but you know what? Fuck it. This is fucking horrendously boring. There is nothing fun about this. Usually I don't have problems with theoretical assignments, but this? For an accepted grade I have to describe enviromental problems. For a better grade I have to analyze from different perspectives. For the best grade I also have to interpret validity of the sources of information. I can barely do the accepted criteria, because it's mind-numbingly boring.

This. Is. So. Fucking. Boring.

1.) Intro paragraph: shit affects the enviroment. Lots of people think this. Different people think it'snot a big deal. There is a debate. Thesis Statement: There are lots of ways the enviroment is effected, and many people have strong opinions.

2.) Body Paragraph one: Name the effect. Describe the effect. Describe people involved in the conflict (fisheries? naturalists? zkldgbdfg?) Describe how people would be effected. Cite sources every time you say anything. Talk about the validity of the enviromental claims based on who did the research.

3.)Repeat

4.) Repeat

5.) Repeat

6.) Find out you have more than 4 examples as you're just _barely_ reading the sources.

7.) Say fuck it and write a conclusion that says something like "It effects the environment and people argue about things a whole lot" Review the strength of the body of literature. End the paper by saying I don't care.

8.) Profit

Don't worry, I had to read a book that counted as a quiz. but i was boring as shit.
This is what I try to do if something like this pops up. Wing it and do the minimum requirements

I should definitely use the "I don't give a fuck"-method more often, somehow I managed to be the only one in my class to get an A in English because in most of the English papers where I had to analyze stuff I pretty much stated that "here's your information, this is what I think of it all: what a load of bullshit and I don't give a shit". I don't believe our nature science teacher is as easily impressed though.
see it like this, you better make it now, nice and well, more time left for tf2 laterz
Easier said than done. This assignment is so boring it makes me mad. For real. I get angry, I want to punch somebody, I'm that bored.

Anyway, now I decided to just pull myself in the shirt (or whatever you say) and do it, so now I've written quickly about enviromental problems, then the teacher can tell me what to do more in detail and then set a new deadline for me so I can focus on the 7 other assignments I have due next week.

The smartest strategy? No way. But at least I can focus on the other assignments (who I feel I can do way better) now.

The whole point of learning environmental education is to keep getting reminded that we are all doomed.

some tips..
Firstly define what aspects of environment impacts and why you will be discussing them, and why you will omit others.
Talk about positive and negative, short term and long term effects, break the two up, use specific case studys as examples to support your viewpoint.
Talk about international directives and compliance, if your having to focus on a particular country explain how that country impliments international laws or standards, if you know why a certain directive has been put in place, it will tell you about impacts, and studying compliance will link you to accepted research.
Suggest alternative actions to mitigate environmental impacts.
Use graphs and tables to illustrate facts.
hope it helps some.
