Also, I looked through their chatlog and only found some possible vote abuse, but nothing about advertising and or using hacks.

In the argument with Sargenty and @Luke, Luke had stated the bottiger said that mentioning the hack name would get you banned. Sure, Thanos eventually did get unbanned, but that was after apologizing and saying he'd never use that bind again, not for the fact that he wasn't advertising.

I'd say it's a case of leniency more than anything else.

In the appeals linked, they were saying it numerous times.

In this case, it's a single chat line - likely not worth punishing over.

Edit: Plus the appeals linked was only one word different from what the actual hack says
