Finally enough AP for hat, but then...?

Hello guys, i got more than 3k5 ap now on Skial servers, have been playing hundred of hours on these, but now that i can use /hat command, i really don't get how to have any effect on the hat i want.
I was use to other server where it's pretty easy to do but it looks tricky here. Can you help me understand how this works ? Thanks !

Nope, just use /hat and it applies to whatever you're wearing.

Colors dont work on team captain, it isn't a paintable hat, but you do /hat 12 and then it puts it on whatever hat you are wearing

Oh okay thanks, i was use to choose my hat in a list then choose the effect i wanted. Thanks again I will try that tomorrow :)

Between why when we use it. We go on a another skial serv and/or change map we canno't use it again. Someone can tell me?
