I actually had only heard about the show until a month ago when someone showed it at a party.

Took me an hour to actually take it seriously or get involved in what was going on because, hey, it's a show with giant naked men eating people with their goofy faces. That shit's hilarious.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (and the original FMA), Sword Art Online, Soul Eater, Attack on Titan, Evangelion, and Ghost in the Shell just to name a few.
 
I just recently got into anime through a friend. Still kinda new to it, but the one that got me interested was sword art online. If you haven't started watching it, I think that's the one that'll get you into it. It's really good..just a story arc halfway through fucks some things up, but it's still a solid watch especially the first half.
 
Angel Beats never fails me.

Naruto's all right, but I got a little sick of it once the filler episodes started. Gotta admit, though, I did not expect to hear Shino laugh like that. It scars me to this day.
 
My favorite of all time is probably Cowboy Bebop, since it was the one show me and my dad agreed on. Sailor Moon is a close second, but the mangas will always be better
 
Never seen Sailor Moon before because I watched Dick and dom in the Bungalow when I was a child.

And I've watched all the episodes, Why does every anime I like just die? I really need to get myself checked out.
 
My favorite is Ghost in the Shell. I actually bought and read Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence - After the Long Goodbye. It's a novel originally written in Japanese and very well translated to English. It the only novel I've read since high school and that was over 10 years ago.
