Mildly Menacing Medic
The gibus is notorious for neing used by F2Ps and players just starting out, but I think it doesnt look that bad if used correctly, for instince, the siberian sophisticate matches perfectly with it, anyone agree or have any other examples or thoughts?

They're hats, play with what you like. They don't mean anything. I've done lobbies with players who have amazing unusuals, and amazing secondary effects, and are iron. Doesn't make them good. Gibus is cool, if you like the hat, and you like the combo you've made, go for it.

I wear gibus on most of my classes, I like people thinking i'm a noob because I suck so hard :D

I think that the hat actually looks terrible painted, it seems to loose it's texture somehow, but maybe it's just my graphic settings.

Dunno about cosmetics, anymore. Used to be, I'd play only to get drops so I could replace that gibus.

Then I started using the emptied-out D loadout slot on Orange to see how many people would think I was hacking. Now I'm too lazy to turn my loadouts back on.

And that's how I freed myself from greed.

The Gibus is so underrated,it's a cool hat and screw all those wardens who don't appreciate it during hat day.

Don't forget that it's the only hat in common circulation that you actually earn by playing TF2. Is it a major accomplishment? No, but spending $15.75 on the SCM so you can get a White Bill's Hat certainly isn't any sort of accomplishment at all.

As far as the gibus goes, I kind of stopped wearing my gibus not long after I was playing Heavy and a Medic ran past me with a Sniper pocket. I spent several months with that gibus and I just finally got tired of Medics ignoring me because of it. I still like it, and it's definitely useful as a Spy. I just don't want that sort of crap to happen again.

Unusuals tend to have a place in backpacks of better players. Think about it, if you're willing to invest money in the game, you probably aren't that bad at the game. Emphasis on tend.
