I never actually comment on any forums including this one, however being a regular Skial payload EU player and an adequate, well-versed human being, I could not let this shameful, absolutely irrational admin power-abuse go unnoticed. I have angrily expressed myself in the game chat towards Quack Quack and received absolutely no response to my accusations. Ergo I will attempt to relay my message here in a more presentable and young-reader friendly manner.
I want to start off with the fact that I do not adhere to favoritism regardless of the fact that Erik is one of the people who bring life into the server, perhaps sometimes being close to saying too much but needless to say, he never actually said anything racist or really meant to target someone with a slur, at least in front of me. Anyway, to the point. Your reason is 'baiting racism', what on the Earth is that reason? Did he actually say a slur, did he actually meant to demean someone or a group of people? SAYING 'N-WORD' instead of writing down the actual word is exactly how you DO NOT come off as a racist as can use the context in a joke. His comment was clearly sarcasm, I mean clearly sarcasm (you must be an idiot not to notice that, with all due respect) and if anything, he was baiting the actually racist people who would be racist enough to say the word. He himself was far from coming off as a racist human being in this context and everyone on the server can vouch for the fact that he's definitely not advocating for such human degeneracy.
Now why I am sincerely mad at the admins and why I think this PERMA-MUTE is a clear nonsene and a power-trip. I understand, the chat was looking negatively spicy in terms of the context, and as I imagine the topic was going on for a while before this 'final moment', per se. Is this really how you deal with such things? As I mentioned to Quack, you are no different to a real life autocracy that lynches people for suspecting them of a wrongdoing. Why? Because instead of mentioning in the chat, asking people to stop this nonsense or consequence will follow (1 week mute for example, and later 1 month, and later 1 year, for example), you adhere to complete KGB tactics of staying silent about it, saying some random 'no' (do you lack dictionary?) and later passing on the information with a clear motive to someone who executes the ban. Like I said in the chat earlier, with power comes responsibility and how we treat others with that power determines how we treat and think of ourselves. And if this is how that responsibility is executed, then I don't know what to say but that you should be completely ashamed of yourselves. This is something a corrupt cop would do and this is how I will see you all from now on. I feel bad for paying those 5 euros to enjoy my time on the server, as it is clear as day the pockets of people who the money goes to do not deserve a fair penny.
What would I do in this case? Like I mentioned, learn to communicate for god's sake - give a warning, You, as an admin aren't just a decoration to the server but you can also sometimes control the narrative and prevent these topics by illustrating consequence in the form of a temporary ban. Why wasn't Calculon banned then? His expression is clear to me in exactly the same way as Erik's is, perhaps, it's you who is choosing favoritism in this case?
Ethics aside, just be normal person and unmute him after a week, this is utter nonsense and he clearly wasn't 'BAITING RACISM' but just trying to add a sentence to a joke that went too far and was stupid to begin with. Something a verbal and non-toxic admin could've simply stopped by giving a warning at the very beginning.
Anyway, I sincerely hope this case will be reconsidered as Erik is indeed a person who adds value to the server, sometimes jokes can go too far but like I said 'lynching' a person for a joke that has no real weight to it is simply toxic and irresponsible. I see you all in a completely different shade now and it's far from a positive one.
