Duped Keys?

My friend gave me a robo crate key last night. I have already used it (Got Mecha-medes) but the strange thing is that whenever he traded it to me, it said it had 0 uses on it. Whenever I got the key, it told me it had 1. I am not sure if this would of been a duped key or not but if it is, should I at all be concerned?

It may be a bug, when I bought keys last they said they had 0 uses.
