New [DR] Add dr_block_v9

i hope im doing this right, but anyways please consider adding one of the maps thats old but gold. its certainly better than almost if not more then half of the maps in skial and would be great to see in the rotation. its one of those maps that aged really well and is genuinely fun. since there are only what it seems to be 15 maps in skial this would easily be a great replacement for dr_missing . now i would also consider other older maps instead like bandicoot, area 51, timetravel, aconian, sawmill, but i guess those are just nostalgia fueled (what i've been told a few times even tho i disagree, there are definitely a few maps in skials rotation that are worse than these maps i mentioned.) but just dr_block_v9 would not hurt the map rotation in skial one bit and would be great in the rotation. This was actually my first map played on Skial, and I don't really have any vivid memories of it. The only thing I could remember was the MegaUpload trap and nothing else from this map. Aside from it being one of the "OG" Deathrun meme maps, there is literally no redeeming qualities to Block that I see worth adding back to Skial.
If you've played Block before, you played 1/3 of Skial Deathrun.

Aside from it being one of the "OG" Deathrun meme maps, there is literally no redeeming qualities to Block that I see worth adding back to Skial.

I have to disagree with you on that. just because you remember only one trap doesnt negate the fact that it isnt (objectively) a bad map. the redeeming quality of block is that it was fun imo and in that case why is dr_missing in the rotation in the first place, its a snooze fest and i only remember how bad that map is. also, i dont think we should judge maps based on redeeming qualities when the only thing that decides if a map is kept in the rotation is popularity (in skial atleast) and based on that, block was never underplayed/rtvd afaik.

well i wasnt playing on skial when i played block it was a different server thats long gone now. im talking back around 2010-2013. but i think you should give some of these old but gold maps a shot like some of the ones i mentioned. i think that some if not most of them would hold up to other maps skial has. it seems to me that there are like 15-20 maps and only 10 of them are picked for the most part give or take, making the ones usually picked "overplayed" making the rotation kind of repetitive it seems. additionally, we still have office in the rotation as of right now which is confusing. im genuinely curious, why is dr_missing in the map rotation? also, what about making a different server thats just old maps and call it nostalgia run server or something. idk just an idea.

Well, the fact that I can only remember a single element of Block really shows how much this map really sticks out in my mind, as well as how much I like it. I don't know what other Skial players think about early 2010s memes but the memes this map had are as stale as someone's shit on their ass who hasn't wiped it for 20 years, even for 2018 standards when the map was still being played.
Some users may like the map for the meme value (and the fact its just a literal block with a spiraling walkway) but I just don't think it should be added on here.
The map had its chance.

Yeah, but if you've been on the server for a bit you'll know why 3/4 of the server becomes demoman on that map.
