Recently, in a effort to make some metal, I've been doing the following:

1-I go on my regular trade server.
2-Buy either normal craft hats for 1 ref/slightly less then value basically (or keys for 2.00/2.22 ref).
3-Sell either through TF2 or TF2WH.
4-Either keep metal or buy keys (for price as above).
5-Either keep the metal already or sell key for about 2.44/2.55.
6-Profit.

Is this scamming? I havent thought it is, as the people have normally agreed 100% to the price, and I'm not screwing em over or something (1 reclaimed per item is my normal gain).

No, your not scamming. You're offering metal for hats and people are accepting the the amount then theres nothing wrong with that.

If you say, lie to someone about an item to get it cheaper or something then that starts reaching scammy/sharking territory.

Point is, as long as your not deceiving anyone you'll should have a clear conscience.

It is buying low and selling high essentially. Standard strategy, everyone does it, from Acesgamer to the newest tradling to understand, "Buy low, sell high."
