Do you think it relieves pain?

Never found swearing to work, laughing on the other hand is something of a weird habit I do whenever I feel physical pain. It doesn't dull it though, as the more it hurts, the harder and more insane the laugh will be.

Getting angry can trigger the release of endorphins that help us regulate pain.

I did this as a child.
When my older brother would hit me, I'd laugh, and that would annoy him and he'd hit me more, which made me laugh more.
Such memories..

That's kinda creepy @_@
I did say it was a weird habit. It used to bug my doctor a lot when it started a few years back when I had to get some shots, but he's gotten used to it and doesn't hold it against me. The thing is it just happened out of nowhere and since that first time it's my reaction to pain.

If I hurt myself, I try and take my mind away from the pain, I close my mind off for a second and it always helps me.. unless I stand on Lego or bang my shin, then there is nothing you can do but shout fucks.
When I came off my motorbike and broke my arm, it didn't hurt much at all, in fact I rode home for 10 miles in the pissing rain, the cold bothered me more than the arm.

I admit swearing never worked for me but laughing did, remember both times when I broke my arm, and when my ankle took a shoot in a football game. Was just laughing my ass off while my friends look on as if I was insane.
