Do drops get better later in the week?

I was sure they stayed the same throughout the week but for the last five months I've gotten nothing but weapons. I typically get all my drops by Friday / Saturday since it gives me an added reason to play, but it feels like I'm more unlucky than usual.

Updates with cool new items normally come out on Thursday.
Liquor store stays open late on Friday.
I normally sleep in on Saturday.
