Problem solved. Disabling Steam Voice Chat

TF2 often crashes when someone sends a VC invite, which could have horrible implications during a scrim/match, besides in general pissing me off.

Is there a way to make it so people can't send VC invites to me rather than just deleting them or going offline every time I want to play video games?

Doesnt steam ignore requests, and prevents dialogs from popping up if you set you status to "Busy"?

The game crashes when someone sends a voice chat invite? You could try using Busy status, or you could try disabling steam in-game.

I personally have dual monitors and play in window mode, so disabling steam in-game isn't a problem for me.

edit- Has this started recently? I've heard of steam ingame issues from other people lately.

Does it? I could try, but pretty sure "in-game" status would overwrite "busy"

Not sure, people typically didn't send me VC requests up until the last month or so.

It would appear as you being "In-Game", However your status would still remain as "Busy"

We'll have to wait and see for a VC request to happen while I'm in-game.

If it didn't work I can always change prefixes.

You can also block the people who send you VC requests while you play TF2
