Aeon

Notably Dangerous Demo-Knight
Objectors are being used to:
1. Show NSFW content
2. Show degenerate porn art
3. Expose children maliciously to NSFW and degenerate content
For these reasons I hereby ask the community to support the proposal and for the admins to consider it.

Children should not be playing this game.
say that to the hosting providers, I'm only looking for what's best for the community, if someone were to tip the hosting provider for skial they could take down the servers, have seen it happen, and there are people who's sole job is to report these kinds of things, you do you.

Children should not be playing an 18+ video game in the first place and it is absolutely the fault of the parents for allowing them to do so. If you personally do not want to see decals, then disable them client-side in advanced settings and you won't have to see them ever again.
I work with hosting providers from time to time, don't think this argument will hold as it'd be against most company's TOS.

They used to be disabled but since valve made seeing them optional we are no longer liable and they could be turned on again

It wasn't about being liable it was simply no longer necessary. Not everybody wants Nikocado Avocado's arsehole to be on their monitor while playing deathrun and the content on objectors was getting a bit out of hand which is why they were blocked, clearly Valve had enough too, so when they updated the game with the option to turn them off the server block was no longer necessary.

TF2 is actually rated M (17+) not AO (18+) which means pornographic content isn't allowed.

There's no point since their decals can be disabled client side like with sprays now.
And like a few others said children shouldn't be playing TF2 in the first place.

Same thing goes with edgy 9-12 year olds and COD back in the early 2010s.
Children played it, but it doesn't mean we should tone the violence down and remove the strong language just because kids are playing it despite the fact the game is meant for adults with an 18+ rating.
Never thought I'd be comparing a Skial forum thread to Modern Warfare 2 match lobbies.

I don't know where this idea that TF2 is rated 18+ comes from. It's literally not rated 18 anywhere. It's rated 17+ in North America, 16+ in Europe and 15+ in Britain & Australia.
