Trash is meant for misplaced or rule breaking posts, We don't really need members posting in threads placed there, often what is posted in there is shitposting or flaming the members who created the trashed post, if members want to do that, they should take it into unmod.

i agree. it should definitely be situational

also, jerma could fucking tell me to my face that he doesn't like that i was trying to help that guy instead of passive-aggresively making a suggestion post.
This suggestion has nothing to do with you. Take your narcissism somewhere else and keep it out of this thread. This thread is not about you. Members shouldn’t be posting in trash, it’s for misplaced or rule breaking posts.

When I first had trash implimented it was to cure a problem. I saw that deleted posts, were in some parts of the forum, filling up the first page of that section, and being a mod at the time it was annoying just looking at loads of deleted posts (that only mods could see). So, I had the idea of creating 'trash' as a place to move the deleted posts so that they wouldn't obscure relevant 'open' posts in the viewpoint of mods and admin.
Trash wasn't implimented for misplaced posts, mods should be helping members by moving a misplaced post to the correct part of the forum. Not everyone initially understands the structure of a forum, and new users should be helped out, they will soon find the correct place to post, and might even stick around..

I don't move threads for people because they need to figure out the correct place to post, and usually it is because they post a report without using the form, so moving it to the report forums would be unhelpful.
