Server-Clearing Cynic
Correct me if y'all tried to make something like this, but why not make a debate thread to settle the petty squabbles? If people so desperately want to flex their intellect, then make a forum in main. Be perfectly clear that shitposting and trolling will get you banned if you do fuck around in it or try to piss people off. Move "controversial" threads that are likely to cause a shitstorm into debate forum. OR. if you wanted make it in NSFW, so people can be as free in their ideas as they want to be, and if they get mad it's their own damn fault.

We had a previous suggestion that was declined in a similar view for "intelligent discussion". I'll decline this for the same reason we declined that, people will feel that they can act even more retarded outside the forum if it exists and god knows we need more of that.

Also, a gaming forum doesn't really seem like a proper place for serious debates. It's not meant to be that and most of the people on here are too young to have proper opinions on it (I know that's a point of contention, but if you're 12-13 I doubt you've fleshed out your opinion on the economy, gay marriage, wars, etc.)

Ok, clears that up then

Reddit is a terrible place that's essentially 4chan with a condom on, that also supports pedos. So I will not go there.
Just a person clamoring for a story. Gawker is notorious for this shit. It doesn't so much support pedos...each subreddit can be completely different communities of people. Most of the default subreddits have turned to crap because that's just what happens when you grown from a small group of a few thousand to having 5 million people in a single subreddit.

Stay on the main page and in the default subreddits and you'll be fine.
I would say the opposite. Seek out subreddits you're interested in and interact with that community. That's the point even though most people just go there for funny cat pics and gonewild. Sure there is /r/creepshots, etc. but if you're not into it, then don't go there.

There actually was a point where Reddit had these "jailbait" subreddits, those were HIGHLY looked down upon by the entire Reddit community as well as somethingawful. But with somethingawful, they royally fucked the pedo's over by not letting them have an outlet, from what I've seen, there was absolutely NO cp there, they were just talking about their.. thoughts in their head, it was fucking scary yes, but if it wasn't for SA, then I never would've found out about those fucking subreddits.

Well TECHNICALLY, nothing was illegal on the public jailbait subreddit. They were all clothed, but I guess it was discovered that people used it to meet other people and they would share the naughty stuff in private messages, etc. So they shut it down. There's still plenty of questionable subreddits that have very small followings, but the Today show hasn't done a segment on it yet.
