New [Deathrun] Make a vote system for Deathrun Maps on discord.

Bad idea, for many reasons.
• Rules would be overly complicated : how long do we have to vote? Does a vote pass if there are only two checkmarks and one cross despite almost nobody voting ? How often can these votes be made ? This sounds just like it'd be a worse suggestion channel, but on Discord, with less visibility, rules and discussion.
• The community isn't always right. Votes alone shouldn't be the sole reason a map gets added or removed. That's the reason why some consequently upvoted maps in suggestions don't get added, because it's painfully obvious to anyone familiar with the gamemode it'd be arse enough to kill a server (sometimes exceptions happen like dr_simpsons unfortunately).
• The current system is far from ideal, but I'll take it any day over "fast fashion" deathrun that'd kill the gamemode in weeks, the essence of the gamemode being getting to know the maps to use / bait traps better and have more fun, not dumping them when you're a tiny bit bored.
• The regular Deathrun playerbase and the Discord & Skial website regulars are significantly different. Even if votes had any value other than consultative, too many of them would come from people not playing the gamemode enough while the silent playerbase remains that, a silent playerbase.

Discord votes could work out, However Skial mostly runs on Cream Tea and whatever bottiger wants and not the forums. If they're doing this then we will attract a bigger community and not just people on the forum. If Skial is doing this then i suggest they REWORK their vote system and actually listen to what their votes tell them rather than just ignore it and leave it rotten.
Votes should have a deadline too on when they will close so it doesn't get flooded with TOO MANY VOTES. I think we can give it a shot if people do it well, doesn't hurt to try

Simple,
1. However long bottiger seems fit.
2. Bottiger decides.
3. Just because the community isnt always right doesnt mean they shouldn't have a say in it??
4. It would simply be there to give bottiger an actual view of the players opinions.
This is still far better than whatever is being done right now.
Even the silent playerbase gets tired of constant bad changes, there could be a reoccurring message in chat to advert this specific channel;
"Want to have a say in the map rotation? Join our discord!"

Bottiger would still decide. It doesn't change shit. He can see all the opinions and thought on this website. Why even bother.
People are way more willing to join a discord rather than use a forum. This isn't 2016. The forum doesnt even cross the actual playerbase's minds, and even if it did they would most likely not be arsed to make a forum account nor login through steam. Discord is simply more common and known among everyone. Doesn't take too long to think about it. :)
"Why even bother" mindset is the reason why nothing ever gets done.
