He shared a friend code with a kid whose username was "I hate you" (kids steam account will be provided to admins on request) , the code was 1926252796. After this he quickly left after me and several others pointed out that he was being extremely weird. Our suspicions were confirmed by the following chat.

He also has a history, according to Geddan of racist remarks before leaving, which appears reflected in his chat logs provided below. Here you can also see his attempts to get "I hate you" to friend him and the friend code as his most recent messages.

These include messages such as, and I quote:

hey hate, i like your voice ^^

I also have several people who were present that can attest to this event occurring as unfortunately I have no recording to prove the "I hate you" had a childs voice. I assure you however that it was obviously a child.

Pretty damning behavior and an obvious alt account. Please ban this account permanently and if you are feeling generous dox his IP he used to connect to the community as quite frankly he ought to be treated as a registered offender.

Part of the conversation happened outside of the server and in private chat. We usually do not moderate things that happen outside of the servers unless there are special circumstances. Even then, I do not see enough for it to be considered crossing the threshold for pedophilia.

We typically do not allow people to make false pedo accusations, but seeing as he was responding to others calling him a pedo - it does not make sense to mute him solely for that at this point.

I do not see enough evidence at this point to justify a silence/ban.

I understand that this conversation was outside of the server, however he is behaving extremely extremely shifty and using language that seems catered to luring that child into friending him. I consider this a special circumstance, as quite frankly most pedophiles won't just post cod points ( your evidence requirement it seems) and its better to be proactive. No normal person acts like this and he became accusatory towards username before an accusation had been completely made against him. No effort at all on his part to clear his name or clarify the situation. In fact I would argue he seems PROUD OF IT. I should also be clear that the event, him actively soliciting a child because he quote "likes their voice", happened ON THE SERVER.

I've also observed DB's behavior on multiple occasions, the things they say in the server are definitely questionable at best.
However, the interaction happened primarily outside of the server itself, so I doubt Skial will do anything about it - I don't think they're obligated to do so anyway.
I'll try to keep an eye out in case anything further happens when I'm around.

Not trying to start drama, but this seems really bad. Even if they are the rules, not punishing weird behavior like this because it "happened outside the server" kinda makes us look bad.
Go ahead and remove this post if it "doesn't add anything", but this is odd behavior, even if it happened outside the server.

Perhaps I should change the title to possible child endangerment, regardless I still think its worthy of a permanent mute for his account to prevent further incidents. Reminder that his interaction with the child was on the skial server. The DM's are supplemental and are meant to greatly strengthen the argument.

My evidence is the collective reactions in the text chat to him saying that. Multiple people started discussing how it was clearly a child within the first 5-20 minutes of him saying this, this can be seen in the chat logs. If that is not enough then I suppose this can be closed. I can also attempt to get some of the other users who were there to attest to it. The kid stopped talking quickly after this interaction though so I could not gather any other evidence.

Added some chat logs in question that coincide with the event. Clear reactions of concern and/or disgust regarding it. Although the last one is just what DB studios posted for ease of reading time stamps and another is just a repost of his friend code as we were trying to get his info after he left. They are all clearly in reaction to what DB said in text chat.

I think it’s still too much of a stretch. We need something concrete to issue a silence or ban. Let’s keep an eye on this person for now and if he crosses the line, we can take another look. You can record a demo or video in the future and that would be helpful.

the way this was handled is completely unacceptable in my eyes, if you look at all the evidence it's clear that not only did he try to add this kid with bad intentions, he also deflected by saying everyone else is a pedo too by simply playing in the same server as the kid. "you're in on this too you know" should be all you need to see to punish this guy or at least prevent him from interacting with minors with a mute/gag. should we have to wait until he actually does something horrible to someone to punish him? by then the damage is already done and it's too late

I agree 100%. I've only just recently returned to TF2/DR, but if this is the type of behavior I should expect from mods, I won't be surprised if skials reputation just sinks further and further than what it already has. This is just begging to be made into reddit drama, which, honestly, I wouldn't blame them for. This is REALLY fucking bad, and "it happened outside the server" is the worst excuse possible.

It's frustrating for you?. Really?. Common decency would say ban this guy for being an obvious creep. I could quite honestly care less about "rules". We have enough chat logs to know the individual in question is a creep. According you y'all, we can't JUST have chat logs, we need to person to actually try and be weird with the kid before we ban them?. Do skial rules just throw all common sense out the window?. With that disclaimer out of the way, I have recorded implicit admission on DB studios part that not only does he "not know how" to tell if someone is a kid (meaning pedo or not he is still a potential danger to children with how he is advancing towards them). I also have implicit admission by him that it was a kid. He says in one of the following recordings and I quote "How was I supposed to know" in video evidence 2 along with other instances where he acknowledges the distinct possibility of it being a child. Regardless of his true intentions, he is clearly not well and should be muted and gagged permanently to make the server that is often frequented by obvious minors a bit safer. He deflects and denies what we have blatant proof of as soon as I lie about believing him. This is clear shifty behavior and I think you are all making a huge mistake leaving him able to speak on your servers. Do the right thing man he KNOWS HE FUCKED UP AND HE REFUSES TO ADMIT IT.
